Job Summary:

Position summary:

Drive new and existing business in key and developing Federal Governments accounts in the Australian market through strong solution selling skills. Reporting to the Head of Government Sales for Australia & New Zealand. You must have a successful track record of independent selling in a geographic territory and working with partners and channels.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

Primary responsibility will be to drive new sales activity and business in the Federal Government territory. Selling will be both direct and indirect (through partners). Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills and have experience in dealing with Senior Executive level and below within government. Enterprise selling success is key.  Candidate will have a strong track record of sales success and developing new business.

Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for securing

Knowledge, skills and qualifications– 

Education:Bachelors Degree

Minimum years of work experience: 6+ years of direct end-user sales experience, selling complex, large-scale solution projects to Government customers. Proven track record of developing key accounts and creating relationships with C level executives. History of working successfully within a team and with the partner and channel community.

Required skills:


Experience with conducting customer presentations and demonstrations to all levels
Proven track record of building and maintaining strong executive relationships across multiple functional areas within government accounts
Proven track record of solution selling of software and services
Ability to work with a minimum of direct supervision and with demonstrated initiative
Communicate effectively with all levels of business and technical management
Excellent written, verbal, and stand-up presentation skills
Strategic sales planning for customers and territory
Ability to co-ordinate and lead a diverse team of sales specialists, marketing, system engineers and professional services team members to achieve desired sales outcomes in your accounts
Ability to consistently and accurately forecast deal status in SFDC
Excellent negotiation skills.  Ideally having successfully completed a negotiations course.
Attention to detail and ability to quickly respond to and manage a diverse customer base.
Ability to build and execute consistently on customer and territory account plans.

Preferred skills:


Basic understanding of contact center technologies (IVR, WFM, Telephony)
Basic understanding of Voice Biometrics and Speech Recognition
Basic understanding of digital interaction technologies such as live chat, virtual agents/chatbots
Basic understanding of web development technologies (Java, Tagging, Analytics)
Basic understanding of call center analytics
Relevant enterprise industry experience (contact center technology providers, speech technology, IVR, web/mobile, artificial intelligence)
